So you know when you keep looking at the weather all week to see what it’s going to do on a wedding day? And it seems to get worse the further into the week you get. Where it gets to the point where a tornado & flash floods are the best case scenario??? Well that’s what it was looking like for Caroline & Darren right up to the morning of their wedding – until the sun came out! Boom. Somebody special was smiling on us…

Caz and Darren are a gorgeous couple who I got on like a house on fire with from minute one. We first met at The West Didsbury Wedding Event in spring of 2011 (watch this space for details of the next one!) where they also met the amazingly talented Zoe Chiotis who played during their drinks reception and with her band at the evening reception. Awesome stuff.

I met up again with them again recently for their pre-wedding shoot at Quarry Bank Mill which was a lot of fun! We had a great catch up, shot some cracking images and worked out the plan for their big day at The Belle Epoque in Knutsford. Which started with me meeting Caz & the girls at home before church…

It was great to catch up with Katie & Kelvin this week ahead of their wedding at the amazing Mitton Hall later in the year. Katie & Kelvin decided on a city shoot for their pre-wedding photos as a nice contrast to their wedding day at Mitton Hall in the countryside. We met up at Bluu in the Northern Quarter for a drink and chat before we headed out for a meander through the Northern Quarter to shoot some awesome stuff! Here’s a few of my faves…

Yey! Easter Sunday saw the amazing wedding of Hannah & Ian at the absolutely stunning Heaton House Farm. A truly bespoke wedding venue run by some of the most wonderful people and staff you could ever wish to meet! I was lucky enough to work with Catherine, one of Heaton House Farm’s awesome events managers, for the second time in a relatively short space of time and it was a genuine pleasure. The day ran so smoothly, nothing was a problem and Hannah & Ian had the best time ever!

So I started off in the morning meeting the boys in the pub down the road from Heaton House Farm…

And then on to Heaton House Farm…(how about Hannah’s stunning gown from The Wedding Shop in Alderley Edge?!)

Happy Easter! Here’s a little peek at Becky & Dave’s pre-wedding shoot in Castlefield from a couple of days ago…

Becky & Dave get married at the amazing The Great Hall at Mains in July and it’s going to be a belter! My great friend and Dad for the 2nd time as of this morning, Howard Wing (congratulations Howie & Sam and your new addition, little Lincoln!) will be doing his thing – always incredible – and everyone is sure to have the best day ever! Can’t wait!

It was one of those weddings that I feel so honoured to be a part of. One of my bestest mates from school and his gorgeous fiance. I was a guest as well as photographer, so it really was the most amazing day. I’ve grown up with Davers and Gemma’s family’s and we had a LOT of fun recalling some great moments from our youth….sigh….

Their reception was at the stunning Albright Hussey Manor in Shropshire, a venue I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked at a few times now and it was an amazing day!

So Davers (real name Martin – just in case you were wondering!) and Gem jetted off on honeymoon on Monday (jealous!) and left us all behind in what seems to be winter, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite images from their beautiful, sunfilled day.

It was great to catch up with Lindsay & Chris for their Blackpool pre-wedding shoot ahead of their wedding in June…in France! Woop! Lindsay & Chris are getting married at the stunning Chateau De La Couronne in the south-west of France and it’s going to be amazing!
I met up with them in Blackpool so that they could get some of their hometown weaved into their wedding photography story and we had great fun. These two are seriously gorgeous and look soooooooo good together – good job they’re getting married!

I spent a great afternoon wandering round Tatton Park with Ruth & Paul for their pre-wedding shoot. It was a beautiful spring afternoon and we rounded it off the way all pre-wedding shoots should be rounded off – with prosecco & beers! Marvellous!

I’d been looking forward to Ruth & Paul’s shoot for ages – I’ve known them (especially Ruth!) for quite a while now. I first met her the first time I met Alexis off of Alexis and Adam as Ruth was helping Alexis with wedding dress shopping and I happened to be at an open evening at Dreamcatcher Bridal in Kirkham – which is quite a while back now! Ruth and Paul were then at Ali & Adam’s wedding, so it was great to see them there as well as when I’d met them when they booked me to shoot their big day. I love it when you get to see brides and grooms a few times before their day!

So…onto the pre-wedding shoot – we had a lot of fun! We took advantage of some local street urchin’s mild vandalism and we shot some gorgeous images along the way! I really can’t wait for Ruth and Paul’s big day in Manchester now – they get married at Manchester Town Hall and then are having an intimate reception at The Restaurant Bar and Grill before a MASSIVE evening bash at The Victoria and Albert Hotel – it’s going to be awesome!
