Wow! What a venue for a pre-wedding shoot! More to come next week, but for now, a little look at Steph & James’s hugely cool and theatrical pre-wedding shoot!

Wow! What can I say about this wedding?! Two ceremonies, two outfits and two of the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet – the very gorgeous Reena & Hani. I’m so excited about showing off these images in a few weeks time (once Reena and Hani have seen them all first of course!) and telling the story of their wonderful day.
But for now, closing what has been a wonderful wedding working at a great venue (Hilltop, Prestbury, Cheshire) and working with some of my great wedding pals, including Tom Harrington at Silk Wedding Videos, here is a Sunday night sneak preview especially for Reena & Hani before they head off on honeymoon tomorrow!

Congratulations once again guys! Have an amazing honeymoon!

This is why I love my job. A gorgeous couple, that by the time I leave their wedding in the evening, it feels like I’m leaving friends rather than clients. An amazing venue, spectacular gown and accessories, beautiful ceremony, amazing venue staff, friends and family that feel like my own by the time I leave – what more could you want from a day’s work?!?!
I felt I connected with Claire and Andrew straight away when we met such a long time ago at Great John Street Hotel in Manchester to talk about their big day. They really knew how they wanted their day to run, they were both equally enthusiastic about all aspects of their day and the details and they were both seriously committed to great photography on their day. They wanted a real blend of reportage, family images, details and once we’d shot their pre-wedding shoot – they realised they weren’t scared of throwing themselves into producing some seriously cool images of themselves too!
I started the day off meeting up with the girls at the fabulous Mitton Hall in Lancashire…

Claire’s awesome Ian Stuart gown from One and Only in Preston (I love that store!!!)

I still love shoes and flowers…!!!

Isn’t it the most spectacular venue? I grabbed this shot as Claire made her way down from her room – it’s so atmospheric, I just love it.

The surprise Beetle! Claire and Andrew had booked a drop top Beetle as their wedding car and nobody else knew, so it was a great little surprise when Claire arrived in it!

Andrew and his best men were very relaxed…

The very lovely and gorgeous Joanne Kerr from Dan Kerr Brides and One and Only Bridal Couture…

Claire and Andrew had wanted to grab an image that really showed off the part of the world they were married in before we headed back to Mitton Hall. I had a quick drive around in the morning before I arrived and found this spot…so we gave Claire a leg up over the gate into the farmers field (alright, we opened the gate and walked through…) and stole this fabulous image…

The Beetle, the venue and our gorgeous bride and groom…

Selfless doesn’t come close to describing this wedding present! Claire had bought a hot air balloon trip for her and Andrew on honeymoon because it was something he so desperately wanted to do. Claire, however is terrified of heights…now that’s love…

Speech time!

After the speeches, Claire, Andrew and I sneaked off for 5 minutes to shoot some amazing images of just the two of them – how good do they look?!?!

First dance!

Congratulations once again Claire & Andrew, it was such a fabulous day and you two were the reason we got so many amazing images – it was amazing working with you!

What a night on Friday!
Emma & I were invited to attend the opening of what promises to be one of the most in-demand wedding venues in the UK – it’s gorgeous!
An amazing barn conversion with absolutely no corners cut. We’re talking LED lighting, i-Pod docks built into the walls, an amazing drop down screen with back projector, plus all of the original and traditional features painstakingly and lovingly restored.
I’ve been involved with the conversion (just talking photographs, not actually doing any of the graft I must admit!) for quite a few months now and it was a real pleasure to see the Tithe Barn at Browsholme Hall finally finished and ready for action!

Jane & Jason Thompson from Flower Design created some spectacular candelabra arrangements just for the opening evening – I love working with Flower Design, they’re always so passionate and creative and without fail, ALWAYS seriously good fun!

Champagne flowed freely!

How cool is the screen and the LED surrounds?

I think everyone who was invited turned up! Nobody wanted to miss this event!

A great launch night for a great venue. I can’t wait for my first wedding there – the very lovely and gorgeous Vicki & Stuart are getting married there in 2011!

A little Sunday morning preview just for Emma & Chris before they jet off on honeymoon!
We got some amazing stuff yesterday, these guys were so committed to shooting great images that my job was made so easy! I love it when brides and grooms are creative, excited about the photography and have ideas of their own – it just adds so much to the day and I really do love it.
Here’s a little taster – we shot such a range of styles and moods all in one day, which will be a lot more apparent in the full posting (coming soon!) – but check out the last image below for seriously cool ‘urban bride and groom’!!!

Congratulations once again Emma & Chris – it was an amazing day and I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon!

…coming soon…something VERY cool…
The very gorgeous and lovely Ella (below) and I are working together again on a very exciting project! Watch this space…

Emma & Chris are getting married in the morning! (well, the afternoon…!!!) It’s going to be a cracking day and I’m really looking forward to working with them on their special day. They were great fun and really up for it on their pre-wedding shoot at Beeston Castle a few weeks ago and I can imagine they’ll be even more so on their wedding day!
Here’s some of my favourites from their shoot…

Good luck guys! See you in the morning!

Louise and Olly were such great fun to work with and I’m gutted they’re back in Australia!!! A little bit of background for you…
Lou & Olly booked me from the other side of the world after I’d been recommended to them (the power of the referral!) and I only met them a couple of weeks before the wedding when we did their pre-wedding shoot.
I hit it off with them straight away and knew that their big day was going to be awesome!
I started out in the morning by meeting up with the lads at The Cartford Inn (great place!)…

Count ‘em up…that’s one, that’s two pairs!!!

Prettiest church ever?!?!

The jury’s still out on who was responsible for this….

I love a good random llama at a wedding…

On to the magnificent Great Hall at Mains…

Coolest bridal party ever?!?!

I love this – Olly’s brother skyped in to say hello from overseas!

Speech time after an amazing wedding breakfast (that I was lucky enough to try!) provided by my friends at Twelve…

Congratulations again Louise & Olly – looking forward to catching up when you’re back next year!!!

What a wedding this was! Everything was about details and personality. Everything had been considered so carefully by Fran & Joe that it can only be described as perfect!
I started out in the morning meeting the girls at Fran’s Mum’s house where I saw a little bit of inspiration for all things detail…

Great shoes…!!!

Even greater sunnies! Joe had bought these Ray-Ban’s as a wedding morning present for Fran – how cool!

So I’m a little bit obsessed with Fran’s shoes….

Over to the church to meet Joe…

Fran’s Dad led the hymns on guitar which was another wonderful personal touch…

This door at the side of the church has a lot of family history built into it – Fran’s family had often had their photograph’s taken in front of it on their wedding days, so it was fitting to use it on Fran and Joe’s special day…

On to the party….!!!

What a gorgeous day!

Love a bit of the old ’squeeze box’!!!

You didn’t think Fran would leave the sunnies at home did you?!?!

I love bunting! Especially when it’s been hand made!!!

The little pin badges were the favours – EVERYBODY (including me!) wore one on the day – again, another very cool, personal touch…

What a beautiful couple…

Well, what a day! Congratulations once again Fran & Joe, it was a magical day and every single detail was perfect – can we do it all again next week?!?!?

What a great day yesterday! The weather tried it on a few times but we got really looking and when the sun was out it felt like the middle of summer!
Carly & Rob were such good fun to work with and looked absolutely amazing – here’s a little sneaky look at their special day…

Congratulations guys! Have an amazing time in Italy!
